Research
My research associate post is jointly funded by Cardiff School of Mathematics and Aneurin Bevan Health Board, so my work commitments are accordingly shared between the two organisations. Within the Health Board, where I am part of a new Mathematical Modelling Unit, I provide analytical support to a wide range of improvement projects across the Health Board. At Cardiff School of Mathematics, my research interests are primarily focussed on healthcare applications, and I have combined queueing theory and game theory to model bed occupancies at Critical Care Units. The research methodologies could equally be applied to other service organisations.
