Lecturer in Mathematics (Teaching and Scholarship)
The Cardiff School of Mathematics invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Lecturer (Teaching and Scholarship Career Pathway). The post has been created to cover a staff absence.

Research Associate in Mathematics
The School of Mathematics is seeking to appoint one post-doctoral Research Associate to work with Dr. Federica Dragoni, Principal Investigator for a new Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) research project, "Random Perturbation of Ultraparabolic Partial Differential Equations (PDE) Under Rescaling".
The project requires to combine techniques from analysis, probability and geometry. Applications are invited from individuals who have a strong background in pure mathematics with emphasis in at least one of the three areas mentioned. Candidates with experience in the areas of PDE, Calculus of Variation or Stochastic Analysis are preferred.
Candidates should hold a PhD in Mathematics (or have submitted their PhD Thesis before the starting date of the position).
PhD Studentship in Applied and Computational Mathematics
A 3.5 years research studentship is available for a PhD study in the area of Elastic Analysis of Biogenic Cellular Structures under the supervision of
Dr Angela Mihai at the School of Mathematics, Cardiff University, starting in October 2015. Please enquire.
The School of Mathematics at Cardiff University has five EPSRC funded studentships for entry in October 2015. Each studentship covers the cost of Home/EU fees plus an annual £13,863 (2014-15) stipend payment funded for 3.5 years.

The School of Mathematics is one of the seven Schools in the College of Physical Sciences
and Engineering. Through the College the School is offering one overseas funded studentship
for entry in October 2015. The studentship covers the cost of Overseas fees plus an annual £13,863 (2014-15) stipend payment funded for 3.5 years.
The School invites applications in any of the following areas:
- Analysis and Differential Equations
- Applied Mathematics
- Geometry, Algebra, Mathematical Physics and Topology
- Operational Research
- Statistics
The studentships will be based at Cardiff University, in a lively and
vibrant research environment.
