Algebra

The main activities of the group are in the areas of Lie Algebras and Finite and Infinite Groups. Solubility and nilpotency properties were established in relation to automorphisms with few fixed points on the basis of quite general structure theorems. Special aspects of locally finite groups were also studied. The group collaborates with Makarenko and Mazurov (Novosibirsk), Shumyatsky (Brasilia), Jaikin-Zapirain (Madrid), Borovik (Manchester), and Myasnikov (New York).
